Tell Recruiters to use NukeWorker.com

every other day they put up the same damn long list of jobs--the job board is starting to look like yahoo or monster where they allow the same companies to put their jobs at the top each day for weeks at a time.  is acts paying for this?  if not, how about limiting how often they can post the SAME jobs?  plus, most on this site are not engineers or designers which is what acts wants--tell them to go to yahoo for this.

I think that the people who do not like ACTS posting should all gather up a million dollars and give it to Renhack to ban them from the board.  Cool

Shocked  Maybe if more people who frequent this site would become gold members. Mike could regulate it...

But they ( ACTS ) are paying for advertising,,,, So we need to get over how they advertise....  Huh

Mike has asked many times for a little help ( to give a site which MANY people utilize ).
Should we expect for him to flip the bill himself?Huh   Huh  Think about it...

Just my take... Anyway I hope everyone has a great holiday season....  Smiley

I like to see the ACTS posts, especially for non-RP type jobs

  • It means Nukeworker is recognized as a solid industry resource
  • It shows that there is other work out there that we can move into, with a little training
  • The fees help support this board, which is used by many

Congrats to Mike for landing this advertiser Grin

most on this site are not engineers and designers

I'm curious where you get your data from?

Acording to my data, 69% of the people on this site are NOT HP techs.

Acording to my data, 31% are HP Techs and 32% are Engineers and Designers. (30% are Engineers, 2% Designers), which makes them 'Most of the people on the site'.

Other popular groups: 15% are Ops, and 13% are Management.

A little more data for you, the ACTS jobs curently posted have had 9,666 views, so some one is interested in them.

Another interesting point is that their job posting for "Nuclear Engineer/Health Physicist"  is ranked #5, after: "Regulatory Services", "10 Q Cleared Procedure Writers", "Systems Engineers", and "Senior Scientist".

I actually enjoy reading the other job posts...... It gives me a good idea of where I will try to go if this retirement home I'm at folds. Since they are willing to pay for "job related" schooling, just about anything in science or engineering is open to us. I also appreciate the fact that the advertising helps keep this website open. If you don't like reading the posts, setup your nukeworker to open up in a different area.....

I am with you on that. Bartlett is an example of a formerly RadCon company that has diversified. While Nukeworker got its start as a few RP Techs with a great idea, it has grown and diversified. ACTS, OPS, PG&E, SC Edison, Dominion, and other companies advertise many positions here.

If anyone is too lazy to look past today's listings, they are likely to call ACTS first. But if they do their homework, they will examine the other opportunities by category or employer. The tools are simple enough to use for a minimally competent web surfer.[/list]

perhaps the resume and application had the same grammatical approach?

How many views does ACTS have now? Perhaps the thread has helped generate interest!

Smiley What!!! Acts has put more Jobs on the board. Maybe they want to employ some people and some people may want these jobs, Is that what nukeworker is for? Smiley Maybe its for the few whiners that want to whine while forgetting the purpose of nukeworker which I believe is Nukeworkers helping Nukerworkers and Nuke employers better the nuke industry and each other.
