Job description
Looking for Environmental Technicians fto submitt with a proposal for possible local work in TN. CLEARNCE IS REQUIRED - ACTIVE Q.

Demonstrated familiarity with recycling and waste management a REQUIREMENT
Effort will require field walk downs and coordination with multiple facility organizations to determine if materials are ready for transfer to property or waste management (i.e. regulatory and plant requirements are met)

Field support for clean up activities to include working with labor support to sort and segregate materials, complete disposition paperwork and follow through until area is clean.

Request sampling activities from industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, and waste management sample crews.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Walking Down facilities and projects to ensure waste, recycle, and / or excess items are properly packaged and all necessary paperwork is complete.
- Spend majority of his/her time in the field performing walkdowns but will also require computer skills to complete 2109's, excess requests, and recycle forms as needed.
- Excellent skills documenting work that has occured, works to a schedule, and will work with a variety of plant personnel including management and labor resources.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- A.S .or higher degree in a technical field and 3-4 years of relevent experience OR
- High School Diploma with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- 24 hour Hazardous Waste Operator Training with current 8 hour refresher a PLUS
- Requires working knowledge and understanding of applicable RCRA and TSCA Regulations and requirements as well as waste management techniques and process associated with managing RCRA, TSCA, mixed and radioactive waste.
- Requires working knowledge of various databases and networking softaware.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift/carry loads of 40 pounds and passing required training.
- competent in both a field and office setting.
