Job description
ReNuke services in currently recruiting four (4) Engineering openings for the Crystal River Nuclear Facility. These positions are responsible for providing engineering, design and project management services in the Civil/Structural and Mechanical engineering disciplines. Positions will support Nuclear Projects, the Construction organization, Engineering Modifications and Engineering Change packages for Extended Power Uprate and Spent Fuel Storage. Candidates must be proficient in the application of Civil/Structural or Mechanical Codes and Standards. Duties will include maintenance of calculations supporting the Crystal River design basis, investigating corrective actions and implementing structural maintenance rules. These four positions can be filled with a combination of Civil/Structural and Mechanical Engineers and/or Instrumentation and Controls.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES • Prepare, maintain and review engineering calculations required to support continued plant operations and projects in accordance with applicable federal, state and local code and regulatory requirements. Experience with Hydraulic Modeling (Fathom). This also includes development of plant modification packages, preparing installation and test instructions. • Specify equipment, prepare proposals (specifications), perform technical evaluations of bids; and secure, monitor and manage contract engineering services in support of tasks/projects, as required. • Direct the work of analysts/technicians and provide project/task coordination and communication among departments, outside agencies and suppliers • Monitor equipment performance; perform field reviews and/or tests; and coordinate system/project requirements with field, maintenance or operations personnel. • Prepare, maintain, monitor and control cost estimates, project budgets, project schedules, bills of material, related project documents and work instructions. Maintain engineering work management tools related to assigned tasks. • Assist in and/or conduct technical presentations in support of department and corporate strategic objectives to internal/external customers. • Establish, develop and maintain industry contacts to facilitate and enhance the development and implementation of engineering, design and project management practices. • Monitor industry developments through meetings, conferences, industry-related periodicals, books and publications to facilitate and enhance the development and implementation of engineering, design and project management practices. Preferred Skills: Professional Engineering (PE) License Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Certification Collateral Skills in Industry Coating Programs Required: Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate Degree in an Engineering Discipline.

The hourly pay rate is $80.00, depending experience. A daily per diem package of $75.00 per day is also available.
