Job description
Basic Qualifications:
Possess a minimum of four years experience with power plant work processes, planning, scheduling, operating, or maintaining/repairing plant systems or equipment.

General Job Requirements:
Candidates interested in this position must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstrate a broad knowledge of power plant systems and work processes. Demonstrated experience formulating and updating work schedules by gathering, reviewing and analyzing data needed. Demonstrated experience serving as an internal subject matter expert on matters relating to plant work processes, scheduling, and maintenance. Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating work activities to develop complex, integrated work schedules involving multiple crafts or disciplines. Able to work with internal clients to accommodate work process requirements while resolving conflicts and adhering to scheduling process. Demonstrated experience working successfully under time constraints, prioritizing and balancing sometimes heavy workloads. Demonstrated experience leading a team and participating as a team member, effectively working with others to develop and implement complex outage schedules to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated experience in assisting with outage scheduling and execution critiques. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing outage scheduling process improvements. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused, to appropriately identify and respond to clients business needs and facilitate the presentation of recommendations. Demonstrated ability to accurately gather and analyze information, integrate people processes, systems, and technologies, and make strategic decisions regarding. Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with clients, peers, contractors, vendors, regulatory agencies and all levels of management, to develop solutions, negotiate conflicts, and ensure stakeholder buy-in. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to access, summarize, and prepare information.

Preferred Skills:
Nuclear power plant equipment operator qualification or maintenance journeyman qualification; four or more years scheduling experience using Primavera or similar computer application. Project Management Certification/experience.

Typical Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for outage planning, scheduling and development at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Typical responsibilities include: participating on and leading high-impact teams (HITs) to plan critical outage activities with sufficient detail to ensure success; developing outage plans and meeting milestones for long-lead time planning activities; developing schedules for maintenance activities to support refueling and other plant outages; integrating multiple work activities to develop large-scope outage schedules; working with internal clients to resolve schedule and resource conflicts; establishing effective working relationships with work groups to be able to update/status schedule progress; updating and revising schedules during outages, and maintaining accuracy while meeting tight deadlines; evaluating and recommending process improvements and effectively integrating those changes into existing processes and practices; and performing other duties and responsibilities as requested.
