Job description
Position Description:

•        Responsible for the direction and supervision of the Chemistry staff in carrying out the duties and assignments of the Chemistry Department involving the sampling and analyzing for chemical analysis
•        Provide water treatment of the reactor and auxiliary systems to ensure operations are within the prescribed limits
•        Assists in the development of chemistry programs, procedures, methods and supervises the implementation of these programs
•        Implements the Station Primary, Secondary and Miscellaneous Chemistry Control Programs, Radiological Effluent Monitoring Program and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Program and the Chemistry Quality Assurance Program
•        Supervises the operation, maintenance, repair, calibration and quality control of chemistry related instrumentation and equipment

Requirements:

•        Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, or related Physical Science specialty or equivalent education and/or experience
•        Six to eight years experience in chemistry, three of which must be at an operating nuclear power plant
•        Thorough understanding of the federal regulatory requirements regarding radiological and environmental effluent monitoring
•        Knowledge of pressurized water reactor primary and secondary chemistry program requirements
