Job description
Position Description:

Responsible to ensure the St. Lucie Radiological Emergency Plan is effectively maintained. Maintain ERO databases. Evaluate drill performance. Assist with procedure development and revisions. Assist with scenario development. Effectively utilize the corrective action process to identify, trend and resolve issues related to adverse conditions, ERO performance and improvement opportunities. Maintain facilities, equipment and inventories. Perform benchmarking activities across the FPL fleet and the industry. Interface with offsite organizations. Assist with ERO training.

Position Requires:

Bachelors degree in Sciences, Engineering, Emergency Preparedness or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in Emergency Preparedness, Operations, Chemistry, Health Physics or other technical area. SRO preferred. Knowledge of federal regulations, plant operations, dose assessment. Knowledge of nuclear security program helpful.

Work Schedule:

M-F, Occasional casual overtime or shift changes to support station and department activities. Some travel required.

Bachelor's - Engineering; Organization Skills - Advanced; Planning - Advanced; Effective Verbal Communications - Competent; Effective Written Communications - Advanced; Power Point - Advanced; Word - Competent; Radiological Emergency Planning - Competent; Bachelor's - Sciences; Position may be filled at a lower level based on qualifications.
