Location = Kansas City, Kansas
Duration = 1 year minimum (LONG TERM Duration is expected)

ReNuke Services is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years experience as a Mechanical System Engineer, Mechanical System Designer, or Pipe Stress Analysis Engineer. A BS in Engineering is preferred by may also consider a MS in Engineering with less experience.

The position will provide engineering related design, analysis and studies for domestic or international nuclear power generation projects. Candidate needs to be experienced in the application of mechanical engineering principles to problems in piping design, fluid/flow analysis, equipment specification, and related activities. They will develop alternate methods, techniques, or design concepts as required to resolve unique design problems. They will plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work for an assigned portion of a major project or the total project of moderate scope. They will lead/supervise less experienced engineers. They will coordinate with personnel in other departments, project managers and client personnel to review designs and resolve areas of concern. They will perform special studies or analyses involving review, research, calculation, selection, etc. to develop required reports.

The need to have the ability to handle multiple key projects simultaneously and supervise other engineers and designers. Candidates will need to be proficient with AutoCAD software.

Candidates may be required to travel 10-15% of the time.
The work schedule is 40 hours per week with Overtime as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFIATIONS

BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing engineering related duties.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or in active pursuit of license.
Commercial Nuclear Plant experience preferred.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
