Lancaster Services Inc. is seeking experienced Nuclear Safety Engineering Manager/Lead for potential work in the Southeast. This job is scheduled through September 2009 with possible extensions, contingent upon contract award.

Job description
Direct the activities of a Project or Program Nuclear Safety organization to assure safe operation, successful chemical processes, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage nuclear safety organization Projects and Programs, including support of daily authorization basics activities including hazard analysis, SAR, JCO, and all phases of nuclear safety work including USQ screens/evaluations. Manage planning support of all phases of AB document maintenance. Ensure implementation of nuclear safety requirements including 10 CFR 830, DOE orders, contract requirements and Site procedures. Comprehend and resolve complex problems using unique concepts and techniques. Administer personnel and administrative policies in a fair and unbiased manner. Provide leadership and motivation in directing the activities of the organization. Work with the POC to assure consistent application of engineering principles.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•        BS degree in science or engineering plus a minimum of 15 years experience, including 5 years of direct management of an engineering or nuclear safety organization. An understanding of mechanical, nuclear, electrical, and process engineer and the ability to direct such a wide engineering program. Demonstrated diplomacy and persuasiveness in working through others to meet programmatic and compliance requirements.
•        Extensive and detailed knowledge in all aspects of the DOE nuclear safety requirements and 10 CFR 830 requirements.
•        Extensive previous experience in writing technical reports, developing and reviewing AB documentation, including PDSAs, DSAs, JCOs and supporting documentation, writing USQ screens/evaluations, and/or performing nuclear safety analysis is required.
