Job description
THIS IS A PERM OPPORTUNITY


Position Description:

Supervises the staff in the System Engineering department supporting primary plant systems, such as the reactor coolant system, residual heat removal system, and safety related HVAC systems. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs large important projects or small projects with complex problems.
Provides expertise and leadership for the completion of assigned projects and plant equipment reliability initiatives.
Performs tasks requiring original concepts and a high level of experience and expertise with little or no supervision.
Leads teams and/or other small groups.
Has special expertise in a particular field or discipline.
May be assigned to support the Emergency Response Organization.

Requirements


Position Requires:

Thorough working knowledge of nuclear industry standards and regulations.
Has demonstrated several years of successful experience leading advanced, complex engineering projects.
Strong verbal and writing skills required.
Must be adaptable, organized, and a strong team and individual leader.
Work Schedule: 0700-1630 Monday through Friday with every alternate Friday off. Overtime and call-outs required to support emergent work, plant outages, and other conditions as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited engineering school preferred, but equivalent experience or PE may substitute.
Minimum of 3 years specialist or 10 years related experience required.
Mechanical systems and plant HVAC systems knowledge preferred.
