Job description
PLANT AND SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Full-time / Permanent

Position Description:

•        Responsible for technical support of short-term and emergent maintenance and operational issues, performing or leading equipment and system problem investigations and troubleshooting, preparing operability recommendations, providing technical support of procedure changes and preparing and reviewing 50.59 screenings/evaluations, temporary modifications parts equivalencies and minor modifications in support of short-term maintenance and operational issues
•        Travel to support FPL objectives and act as a member of the emergency response organization may be part of the requirements of this position. Candidates must satisfy all Company and Nuclear Regulatory Commission security requirements
•        Candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, management, analytical and team leadership skills and must be able to handle a wide range of technical issues

Position Requires:

•        Previous nuclear plant experience preferred including knowledge of lectrical/instrumentation systems, Standard Technical Specifications, industry codes and standards
•        Ideal candidate should have experience with electrical and instrumentation design, supporting calculations, and associated configuration management processes
•        Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter, organized, high level of verbal, written communication and computer skills are also required.

Qualifications:
•        Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or other related major)

•        ** This position is currently represented by Local 2150 IBEW
