Job description
Civil Engineer

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides engineering and technical consultation services in the solution of complex technical problems and Development or Implementation of Engineering Programs and Processes. Must have nuclear plant knowledge and experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential lob functions)
1.) Performs work of above average complexity that conforms to all project/task requirements, including defined scope, schedule, budget, and that requires an independent understanding and application of engineering theories, complex calculations and computer codes for design applications, standards, concepts, techniques as well as knowledge of engineering industry codes and government regulations.
2.) Provides technical support for daily operations, plant improvements, process improvements, design, equipment acquisition, plant breakdown and analysis, self-assessment, technical procedure reviews, corrective actions, root cause analysis, critical path analysis and detailed review of vendor engineering products.
3.) Works closely with engineering, maintenance and operations staff, along with other groups within and outside the Company, to quickly resolve technical issues.
4.) Works under general supervision, taking ownership ofproject/task completion to meet scheduled due dates, identifying emerging issues and contributing solutions for engineering-related problems.
5.) Trains personnel in the application and use of engineering concepts, materials, plant design- based equipment, or procedures.
6.) Directs personnel in established practices, technical and quality assurance procedures; monitors and develops the engineering expertise of personnel.
7.) May act as a technical expert in an area of responsibility.
8.) Identifies and helps solve problems by bringing to bear needed resources and information.
9.) Develops and nurtures relationships with key technical counterparts, trade allies and customers within and outside the Company and other external stakeholders.

Pay: Negotiable

Duration: 4 - 6 months

Location: Northeast

Per diem: $700 weekly

Travel expense: $.505 per mile in and out and any additional travel required, reasonable lodging and meal expenses reimbursed 100%
