Job description
Work closely with Corporate Credit and the Manager Contract Administration to identify, enforce and monitor counterparty credit issues. Implement corporate credit policy and procedures and perform credit reviews for electric and gas Third Party Suppliers, Basic Generation Suppliers, telecom companies and other counterparties/vendors. Analyze financial statements, credit rating agencies data and apply corporate credit models to daily manage and monitor credit risk. Responsible for continuous monitoring of counterparties’ financial condition to determine collateral requirements and recommend other measures to protect the financial integrity of the Company. Generate periodic and ad-hoc reports on the credit exposure of the Company used by Corporate Financial Risk Management to develop the credit exposure for the Enterprise. Recommend new credit procedures in line with PJM credit policies and New Jersey Board of Public Utilities approved credit guidelines. Maintain and apply working knowledge of PSEG Standards for Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Essential: Bachelor Degree in business or finance; demonstrated knowledge and experience in financial statement analysis and/or credit risk analysis. Superior verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to make decisions and proactively resolve external counterparty issues. Ability to take a leadership role in a project team, identify objectives and develop plans and policies. Desired: Knowledge of electric/gas industry credit policies and practices; experience in credit risk analysis and counterparty analysis; knowledge of NJ legislative and regulatory policies; advanced degree or MBA.
