Job description
Responsible for department supervision of specialists, planners, and simulator engineers including the identification and resolution of problems of a highly technical nature, effective deployment of resources and interface with upper management, review of employees performance, recognition and discipline. Oversight of functional areas include: 1)maintenance, update and certification of the Turkey Point simulator; 2)accreditation renewal activities; 3)site wide LMS implementation and maintenance, metric development from observation data and condition reporting system data, and eLearning development; 4)corrective action program coordination; 5)initial and continuing training instructor program, implementation of site OJT/TPE program, and implementation of department human performance team; 6)leadership program; and 7) records management. Responsible for ensuring all employees are engaged in fleet efforts to standardize and implement required process changes or improvements.

Description of ideal candidate
Position Requires: BA/BS in related field or equivalent education/experience. Strong leadership skills required. Ability to function in an acting Training Manager level as needed. Candidate will demonstrate strong initiative and vision in the area of continuous improvements in Training Department and Station performance. Capable of implementing a performance management model for all direct reports.

Benefits and Other Informations:
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00-4:30 (every other Friday off unless required to support plant or department needs). Overtime / Shift Work / Call Out / Travel as required to support plant outages / training operation.
