Job description
Basic Qualifications / General Job Requirements:
Typically possesses a minimum of four years of experience in organizational programs, contract management, Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Nuclear Oversight, or similar nuclear plant-related function is required. The successful candidate will have already demonstrated the following skills, abilities, knowledge and experience, as listed: industry regulations and station standards, processes and work organizations related to the design, operation and maintenance of the nuclear power station. Facilitating routine process meetings with cross-functional stakeholders and upholding work process and implementation standards. Interpreting regulatory and process requirements and making recommendations for the disposition of equipment, human performance, and program problems. Objective and analytical problem solving and independent decision making skills. Oral communication, conflict management and writing skills targeted at the general work population, and all levels of management. Interface with supervisors and senior management. Nuclear related applications, such as MOSAIC. Common software applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). ANSI 18.1 requirement: shall be competent in technical matters related to plant safety and other engineering and scientific support aspects.

Education:
A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, or technical discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in regulatory and/or Quality Assurance Program implementation with specific knowledge of Corrective Action Program regulations and industry standards including operability, report ability, nonconforming conditions, degraded conditions and maintenance rule is preferred.

Typical Responsibilities:
The successful candidate is responsible for the review and action upon all problem reports for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station located in San Clemente, CA, leading the Action Review Committee (ARC), and serves as a subject matter expert to make recommendations and assist the cross division/function membership in understanding the regulatory and process requirements for the disposition of equipment, Human Performance and program problems. Typical responsibilities include: identifying or escalating significant, repetitive and long-standing problems to the senior management team; generating assignments in the Action Request tracking system, defining the text necessary for assignees to understand the importance and scope of the action to be taken, and updating the AR record; facilitating discussion of plant problems, identifying the most effective and efficient actions for problem resolution, and obtaining committee agreement on the course of action.
