Job description
PRINCIPAL QA ENGINEER
Full-time / Long term

Position Description:

        Responsible for oversight of designated major projects under the cognizance of the Nuclear Projects Department
        This includes project quality planning for both vendor and on-site activities from initial design through acceptance by the plant, and performing oversight activities at supplier locations
        Performs advanced quality assurance tasks or other special projects requiring original concepts and a high level of experience and expertise
        Works independently, performs technical tasks with little or no precedence, acts as a consultant to supervision
        Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability interface effectively with Projects and Engineering personnel
        Requires the ability to analyze and resolve complex quality and technical issues and develop practical technically correct solutions

Position Requires:

        Bachelor's - Engineering; Requires frequent travel to supplier locations
Qualifications
        Quality Tools & Techniques - Advanced; Analytical Problem Solving - Expert; Project / team leadership - Competent; Plant Specs & Design Eval & Analysis - Competent; Power Plant Design - Nuclear - Advanced; Master's - Other Sciences; Master's - Engineering; Planning & Scheduling - Competent; Multi-Tasking - Advanced; Effective Verbal Communications - Advanced; Effective Written Communications - Advanced
