Job description
Exelon is currently looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer at our Warrenville, IL nuclear corporate headquarters.

PRIMARY PURPOSE The Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for improving fleet performance of rotating equipment, which includes assessing site performance, championing improvements, identifying best practices and driving consistency in processes, procedures and implementation, and a host of other significant engineering governance and oversight support activities that may be provided to the site on a day-to-day basis as well as support for planned near and long-term activities.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs. 2. Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. 3. Provide complete task management of engineering issues. 4. Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles. 5. Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications. 6. Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs. 7. Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.

REQUIREMENTS · B. S. in Engineering or equivalent Technical degree · Minimum of 6 years experience Preferred: · Professional Engineer Registration · Advanced technical degree or related coursework

This position can be filled as a level 3 or level 4. There is one opening.

REQUIREMENTS NOTE for LEVEL 4 candidates: Candidates that do not meet the Sr Staff Engineer Career Ladder criteria will be considered for the position at their curent level. · B. S. degree in engineering or related science or Professional Engineering Registration · Typically a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience and exceptional performance Preferred · Professional Engineering Registration, advanced technical degree or coursework
