Job description
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the General Supervisor - Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance and is responsible for communicating and enforcing job site expectations, assigning work, providing coaching/feedback and facilitating employee development by arranging training to meet specific needs. Other duties include reviewing maintenance procedures and work plans, reviewing work package documentation for accuracy and completeness, overseeing the use, maintenance, and storage of tools, test equipment, and spare parts as well as performing miscellaneous administrative duties. The Maintenance Supervisor will interface with assigned personnel, other work groups within the plant, and outside agency inspectors.

Position Requires: Candidates must be high school graduates and have a minimum of 5 years experience as an electrical craftsperson at a nuclear or fossil generating station or equivalent or have up to 2 years of formal post-high school education in a specialized trade school, technical school or college in engineering or other technical field.

Work Schedule: The Maintenance Supervisor will be expected to work backshifts and weekends on a rotational basis.

Description of ideal candidate
Candidates should have a broad understanding of generating station activities. Candidates must have strong oral communication skills, work effectively as part of a team, and have demonstrated leadership skill experience related to maintenance of power plant equipment.
