Job description
Supervises personnel associated with the administration and maintenance of policies and programs relating to applied radiation protection programs. Schedules and directs the day to day work activities department personnel in compliance with applicable regulatory, company and Plant requirements. Coordinates the activities of the Health Physics Departments with other Plant and Company organizations. Implements Plant Radiation Protection Program with respect to plans, procedures, methods and practices. Prepares and supervises the preparation and maintenance of logs, records and reports associated with the Health Physics Department. Recommends changes to existing systems, equipment, procedures, methods and applications to improve Plant performance and radiological safety. Ensures proper response of facility personnel in the event of an emergency situation.

Position Requires: Bachelor's degree in Health Physics, a related Physical Science Specialty or equivalent education and/or experience. Five to Seven years experience in applied radiation protection or related field. Thorough understanding of federal regulatory requirements and industry standards regarding radiation protection. Familiarity with the design features and operations of a nuclear power station that affect the potential for exposure of persons to radiation.
