Job description
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess a combination of education, training, and experience to obtain knowledge and abilities generally equivalent to those typically possessed by a high school graduate. Minimum of five years of experience with a nuclear radiation protection program, or two years performing analysis of nuclear power plant radiation protection program data.

Job Requirements:
Demonstrated experience analyzing data, developing reports and presenting recommendations. Demonstrated project management/planning experience. Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of dose reduction techniques. Demonstrated experience leading teams. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering presentations on technical subjects. Strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to clients business needs. Demonstrated the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, management, and vendors to successfully meet shifting needs. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional networks across the industry. Demonstrated ability to motivate self and others to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This position requires the successful candidate to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. This position requires the successful candidate to perform field work such as installation and removal of shielding materials.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Work Management processes. Demonstrated experience with MOSAIC and AR process. NRRPT (National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists) certification.

Typical Responsibilities:
This position reports to the ALARA Supervisor. Typical responsibilities include: reviewing data for trends and identifying and communicating actions to minimize radiation exposure; providing field support for ALARA Program; providing management and leadership to multiple committees and working groups; developing presentations for ALARA Working group and management, to be delivered by ALARA supervisor; serving as an expert to answer questions provide data, and make suggestions and decisions; providing input to other organizations to influence their goals; and performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
