Job description
The Program Manager is accountable for the overall Project Management Program management for the Project Management organization at CGG and at the nuclear sites. In this capacity the individual applies nuclear engineering and project management theory and expertise to develop and administer the processes, procedures, techniques, and performance monitoring to support successful implementation of Nuclear Projects. This position will 1)develop project management process, estimating, cost control and schedule control procedures for Nuclear Projects 2) perform technical reviews of project status reports and business cases 4)track project business cases and project procurement requisitions through corporate approvals and 5) provide training and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Control Analysts, and Schedulers. The Program Manager prepares project and capital budget status reports for Nuclear Project Management, provides leadership and coordination of project control functions for Nuclear site Project Managers, technically reviews and analyzes performance results, and is responsible for formal presentation of analysis results to management.

Description of ideal candidate
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: (*essential job functions)
1. Develop and maintain project management process, estimating, cost, and schedule control procedures for CGG Nuclear Projects.
2. Lead implementation of project controls by training and mentoring Directors, Project Managers, Project Control Analysts and Schedulers at the Nuclear Stations.
3. Produce routine Budget and Project Status Reports, use earned value to analyze performance, and report results.
4. Support Nuclear Project Management’s input for CGG business planning by coordinating project spend plan input into LOB and CGG Capital and Maintenance budgets and the five year capital plan.
5. Establish and manage cost basis for project business case estimates related to Nuclear Projects.
6. Perform alternative analysis, NPV, IRR calculations for business case development.
7. Technically review project status reports, business cases, estimates, and tracks corporate approvals.
8. Track and report project forecasts against overall capital or maintenance budgets.
9. Communicate with management orally and in writing.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge:
• Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management practices (e.g. PMBOK and Earned Value Analysis).
• Knowledge of engineering design and construction for major projects.
• Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant operations.
• Knowledge of Utility Corporate Business Planning practices and financial controls desirable.

Skills/Abilities:
• Working skill with Project Control Software (e.g. Primavera, MS Project, Scheduling and Cost Control)
• Proficiency in the use of personal computer-based business applications

Education/Experience:
• Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.

• 10 years of work experience in Engineering/Project Management with at least 5 years of Project Controls related experience.

• PMP Certification desirable.

1. Meet and maintain unescorted access requirements of a nuclear power plant including GET and FFD requirements.
2. Work additional hours to support ongoing plant operations and refueling outages.
3. Travel to fleet nuclear plant, vendor locations, and industry meetings.
4. Maintain regular and consistent work attendance as well as be available for on-call status.
5. Observe activities in a nuclear power plant environment, including adverse conditions including confined spaces, heights, extreme temperatures, and radiation.
6. Write and review reports and references to support the performance of detailed analyses.
7. Verbally communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to assure management understanding of identified issues and concerns.
8. Maintain effective internal and external working relationships with multiple functional areas and levels of management.
9. Comply with industrial safety requirements and practices as well as identify and respond to encountered challenges to safe workplace conditions.
