Job description
This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, leading, and reporting on independent audits along with performing technical engineering duties as assigned, with moderate supervision and using site procedures. May be assisted by Engineers, Technologists, Analysts, or Auditors assigned to a particular project phase.
In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent:
• Performs audits of Engineering functions (Internal/External)
• Performs surveillance and overview of Engineering activities/programs/processes.
• Performs technical evaluations.
• Assesses and resolves potential conditions adverse to quality.
• Prepares technical reports.
• Performs license amendment reviews
• Interfaces with other departments, vendors, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
• Directs the work of others routinely.
• Maintains the Engineering related Quality Assurance Assessment Plans.
• May train other site personnel in all aspects of a program or process.
• Performs tasks in accordance with established expectations for nuclear safety.

Description of ideal candidate
Qualifications:
Minimal background and knowledge requirements:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree and a Texas PE; and 4 years engineering experience
• Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in order to qualify for Grade 12 or Higher
• Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; planning and scheduling; Luminant policies and procedures.
• Thorough knowledge of CPNPP design control program
• Familiar with nuclear plant components, processes, programs, and procedures.
• Able to translate technical guidance into usable data applicable to the particular assignment or problem.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred background and knowledge requirement:
• Currently or previously held an Auditor or Lead Auditor certification (ANSI N45.2.23).
• Completed CPNPP Plant Certification.
• 10CFR50.59 screen/evaluation qualified
