Job description
Summary

· This position is responsible for managing the Corrective Action Program Group to provide support needed for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of CPNPP. This position provides candid and frequent assessment of performance to department and executive management on individual, department, and station activities.



Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent will:

· Responsible for the overall implementation of the regulatory required Corrective Action Program at CPNPP.

· Responsible for implementation of trending and performance analysis programs at CPNPP

· Responsible for implementation of the industry operating experience program activities at CPNPP.

· Responsible for the implementation of the root cause analysis program at CPNPP.

· Manage organization staffing and performance to achieve a high level of productivity and positive motivation.

· Provide timely resolution to problems to contribute to safe, reliable and cost effective plant operation.

· Provide performance improvement recommendations and priorities important to the day-to-day operation of CPNPP.

· Control costs within approved budget limits.

· Interface with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of CPNPP.

· Foster an organizational culture that promotes the utilization of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

· Assure Team members are adequately trained to perform their assigned duties and to comply with company and industry standards.

· Represent Company on industry groups, such as Westinghouse Owners Group, Region IV Groups, NEI committees, etc. to remain abreast of industry developments and to achieve Nuclear Production objectives.

· Maintain knowledge of industry practices, other department's goals, and regulatory expectations to analyze work practices and procedures to improve productivity.

· Direct activities for implementation of the Quality Assurance Program at the site and in vendor facilities as required.

· Work with Regulatory Affairs to interface with NRC on licensing activities.

· Direct station Corrective Action Program initiatives

Job Qualifications:
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements



Minimal background and knowledge requirements:

· Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related Science degree +10 years related experience or +20 years related experience, including plant operations.

· Broad technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures

· Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; budgeting, planning and scheduling; TXU Power policies and procedures; NEO policies and procedures, nuclear safety analysis, and principles and practices of a nuclear Corrective Action Program.



Preferred background and knowledge requirements:

· CPNPP Plant Certification or:

· SRO Certification/License for CPSES
