Job description
POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Supervising Engineer supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the activities of assigned engineers and construction supervisors to provide design support for modifications and major projects at Callaway Plant. Key responsibilities include:
-Ensure that engineering activities are performed in a cost effective manner in adherence to established construction and O&M budgets and in accordance with regulatory requirements and high standards.
- Ensure that designs are technically adequate to support plant needs, are performed in a responsive manner, and adhere to established schedules.
- Interface with vendors on technical, procurement, and quality related matters as well as other Nuclear and Ameren personnel.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineer license preferred.
Experience
A career engineer preferably with five years experience, including design experience in a nuclear power plant.
Other
Must have good leadership, decision-making, communication and human relations skills. Security screening required for Callaway Plant. After preliminary review, selected applicants must take the First Line Supervisor Test and obtain a recommended status in order to be eligible for additional selection procedures (e.g., interview) designated for this position.
