Gas into Metal

  Uranium is shipped to Fernald from the Portsmouth plant as a gel. It is heated into gas in these three autoclave vaporizers. The gas is converted into green salt and then into metal. Feed Materials Production Center, Fernald, Ohio. December 17, 1986.
