Workers arrive for the 6 a.m. shift at Maine Yankee nuclear power plant in Wiscasset, Maine, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1997. Officials from the troubled plant met Tuesday with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, Md., to outline how they plan to improve conditions at the facility. The session was called to hear the plant's response to last summer's independent safety assessment. The plant has been shut down since Dec. 1996.
