  An Inspector from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio Verifies that Radiation Levels on the First Shipment of Low-Level Radioactive Waste from Fernald's K-65 Silos are Below the Established Department of Transportation (DOT) Standards. The 1/2" Thick Steel Shipping Containers Weigh Approximately 20,000 Pounds When Loaded and Meet all DOT Requirements.
