Analytical Lab Decontamination and Demolition Project - An Operating Engineer uses Grapplers to Segregate Demolition Debris that Needs Further Size Reducing from that which can be Immediately Loaded for Transfer to the On-Site Disposal Facility (OSDF).

The Analytical Laboratory housed the analytical, metallugical and chemical process laboratories and was divided into restricted and non-restricted areas. During Fernald's production era the facility was used to verify the uranium product quality. The laboratory used state of the art technology and various chemicals during the preparation and determination of the analytical result. More recently, the laboratory staff processed various samples associated with cleanup. The D&D of the Lab consists of asbestos abatement, building and equipment dismantlement, size reduction of building material and loading for transfer to the On-Site Disposal Facility.
