Guangdong Nuclear Power Station at Daya Bay.


  The largest power station in the city is Daya Bay Power Station of Guangdong Province, which is located by Daya Bay in the east of Shenzhen. This power station was jointly established by Guangdong Electricity Company (Head Office) and Hong Kong China Light & Power Co. Ltd. with total investment of US$ 4.1 billion, which is equipped with two sets of nuclear generating unit with capacity of 900,000 KW each. It was built and put into operation in 1994 and the electricity generated in 1995 was 11 billion KWH.
