2007 was a good year for the NukeWorker job board.
We have nine major utilities with unlimited job posting packages: Ameren, Constellation, Dominion, Entergy, Exelon, FP&L, Luminant (TXU), PSEG, and Southern California Edison. In addition to that, seven of the other major utilities post jobs on a regular basis, including: APS, NMC, NPPD, PG&E, PGN, Progress, and SCANA. That’s 16 utilities represented. That leaves Duke, FirstEnergy, Southern Nuclear, and TVA as targets for 2008. They have all posted jobs on our site in the past, but are not currently using us.
We also have thee of the top engineering and construction firms with unlimited job posting packages; Bechtel, Shaw and Washington Group. In addition to that, GE and Siemens also used us this year.
The government likes us too, KAPL, and LLNL have unlimited job posting packages, and ANL, BBWI, BNL, British Energy, INPO, LBNL, NEF, ORNL and USEC used us this year as well as some of their contractors like Energy Solutions, EnergX, and SAIC.
We’re not just drawing attention in the USA (although that is our focus), AREVA, British Energy, Barkers UK, and MGPI France posted jobs this year.
Heck, even Google posted a few jobs on our site in 2007.
I hope we were able to help everyone find a job this year that needed one, because that’s what’s important to us. We are still working hard to get more job opportunities posted, so all NukeWorkers have more options to choose from in one central location. After all, who has time to figure out the website address of all those companies, and check their sites every day, when you can go to one place and have it delivered to you?
As of this writing, NukeWorker had over 600 jobs open, some jobs were viewed over 4,400 times, and had 100 job applications filed!
Let’s see if we can best 2007 in the year to come.
