lodging is pretty tough around these parts.  For short term stays, the only hotels I can recommend are the Hampton Inn or the Holiday Inn Express in Hobbs NM.  The rest are rated "use at your own risk!"

There are several new hotels being built right now (four at last count), and at least 300 new apartment units comming online in the next 6 months.

The housing market in the area is slowly going through the roof.  When I moved out here a year and half ago, new housing was running right around $90-$100 per square foot.  Now it is closer to $150...There are approximately 1500 new construction houses being built in the area...

It should be noted that Nuclear is not even close to the primary driver behind the housing boom, and short term living crunch.  The oil fields of the Permian Basin is where its at.  There is a ton of money being made a lot of it is being made by unskilled labor!  Unemployment is below 2% so finding people to work in the service industry is really tough...subsequently the service industry is VERY WEAK!!!

If you are going to be working at the site itself, you may consider living in Odessa TX, it is about an our drive, but with the right carpool it is working for some...

New lodging opening in Andrews, Texas.  We have a small but brand new one bedroom home available now.  Can be rented month to month, vacant or fully furnished turnkey with cleaning and linens supplied.  All new appliances and utility allowance included.  Easy access to Highway 176 to Eunice.  Many NEF employees already reside in Andrews.  Please call Andrea for more details, 432 924 0297.  You will not be disappointed!
