Yucca Mountain Lodging
« on: Aug 31, 2005, 05:03 »
The closest town to Yucca Mountain with decent lodging is Pahrump. There are two real good RV camps there, Saddle West and Terribles, both are casinos. Terribles has a lake. The hotels/motels in town are the Pahrump Nugget, Best Western, Saddle West and Terribles. I know of a few folks who have stayed at the Best Western and found it pretty nice. I'm sorry but don't know the rates. Look them up on the net or in the phone book and they can tell you. If you will be working from NTS which I assume, there is housing on site, rooms with microwave , TV, and bath for about $20/day.

Lots of stuff like RV'ing and hiking, and of course casino's. Las Vegas is about 65 miles away.

If a chicken and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, how many days will it take a grasshopper with a rubber foot to kick a hole in a tin can?
