Suburban Lodge in Pineville North Carolina was a nice place to stay back when we were there in 2004, I will attempt to get new quote on rates asap.

These rooms have a stove, microwave and refridge.

Located about 23 miles from plant on Feldfarm Lane, Pineville, exit 64A on 485. Go to second light and take a left, go about 1/2 mile.

The best place I have found is Arrow Wood trailor park, I got a two bedroom single wide for 145 a week. It may not be fancy but I have not ever had any trouble there. I can not remember the name of the Real Estate Co that has it, I am sure someone knows.
Have fun!

There are cheap trailers for rent in York which is about 10 miles from the plant. They used to be about 100 to 150 dollars a week and include electricity.

Definitely a nice area. Charlotte seems to be getting rather big.

On the other hand BOARDWALK BILLYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love that place.

I have ran into nothing but trouble looking for lodging at Rockhill. I have tried many (leads) and have come up empty handed. There is about 12 Roadtechs looking for a place to stay and we can't find anywhere. We really don't want to live in motels or hotels. Anyone know any furnished apartments that would take a 3 month lease????????????????

Not sure about the cost there in Catawba. Here in Kansas i'm at the wolf creek nuclear plant and I pay 180 a week in a house 6 miles from the front gate. I have full house privileges with wireless internet and cable TV.

I'm hoping to be out of Kansas in time to head your way. Timing will be tight.

Well i tried a different approach,  I used craigslist   rooms / shared  after a couple of calls  i found a room across the river by the county park for 400 month or 125 week.  unfurnished room ( look to other posts how to furnish for cheep!)  has interent basic cable wash dry  my own space in fridge and cabinet.  not a bad deal.

I know not for everyone but working for me,  see you there

Outage did start early sat nov 7   they have been running ever since,  funny I have waited 3 days for badge 20 hours of OT sitting watching old vrc movies.

University Place Apartments if you don't mind living with the college students. They're nice, fully furnished, just take your bedding.

Can anyone tell me about Gable Oaks Apartments in Rock Hill? Seems as though they have mixed reviews on the net. Looking for a nice clean moderate 1 br furnished that won't take every bit of my per diem.

sanityassassin

I have never stayed there (I have a house in the county) but I do like the Japanese restaurant next to those apartments (Sakuro)...the food there is awesome! That part of town is mostly commerical--all the hotels are on the next road to the east, Cherry Road (one of the major roads in town that has a bunch of strip malls, restaurants, stores, etc.) is right there to the Northwest, and the interstate is also around the corner if you need to go to Charlotte. When I come home from work tommorow, I'll swing by the place and take a gander to see what it looks like.

Thanks so much. I'm spinnin' here, never been to the area, and I don't want to wind up in a dump. I'm afraid of making a poor choice of accomodations and then being stuck in a 3 month lease :'( . I'm also considering the Arrowood Mobil Home Community, but that looks like it's where God lost his shoes and not much in the area. I'm a single female so security is important to me. Any suggestions are welcome! I need to find something by the first of January.
