Clearance with a Single Misdemeanor
« on: Jan 06, 2008, 10:35 »
Hey guys.  I'm new to this forum.  This is my first post in fact.  I'm trying to get unescorted acess to the Fort Calhoun Station in Nebraska for a new job.  I got a PHQ form that they are having me fill out.

I will have no problem passing a drug test, my credit history should be satisfactory, my score is around 650, I will have no problem passing a physical exam.  My record is completely clean with the exception of 1 misdemeanor.  The arrest occurred on 7/23/2007 and the case was finally marked as closed on 11/19/2007.  This arrest was for 1 count of theft by unlawful taking.  I paid a fine, case is closed.

Am I a guaranteed denial?

nope just do full disclosure-however if some bone head security analyist decides NO  then so be it! Its not systematic there is still a dependence on someone making the call.

Hey, you were right.  They didn't even seem to bat an eye.  The clearance went through no problem.    ;) I worried for nothing.

Good for you, always remember this, no what you have done put it down. They way that most plant security works is like this: If you put it down, they will check it out, if it's like you said, then they will more than likely say, "he was honest by telling us about it." But if you try to hide something and they find out, your done. I seen one guy remove from containment because he failed to tell them he was under investigation for Rape. He was escorted off site. And i have never seen him since. It never hurts to talk to your site cord. most are very understanding and helpful.Remo
