Nuclear Industry Sales?
« on: Aug 16, 2008, 01:08 »
Hello, all- Great site, I have popped in here off and on for awhile now.

Does anyone have recommendations for which companies would be best to contact for a sales position to the nuclear industry?

I am an ex-RO and since leaving the Navy I have been in sales. Fortunately, I have been in the upper tier of sales representatives wherever I have gone.

I am considering a career shift, and think the combination of demonstrated sales success and experience as an RO place me in a unique position to perform, if such a position exists. FYI, I do have my BS in Technical management, 4.00.

Please let me know your thoughts, I could use a hand.

Thanks!

Well let's think about this for a second. What is a nuclear power plant made of?

Components.

And who makes those components?

Companies.

Which companies?

The same ones the Navy uses.

Who are they?

GE, Westinghouse, Laval.

But, what about the commercial plants, who are they?

And in the 21st century, how do these companies advertise?

The web.

Very cool... thanks for the help. Also thanks for moving the post.. at a quick glance I thought "Getting in" was for those thinking about getting in the nuke navy.
Much appreciated!
