Salary Survey
« on: Feb 23, 2004, 08:46 »
According to Think's salary survey for powerplant jobs, I'm getting the short end of the stick. Have you noticed that everyone else in the industry is making more than you like I did? The web site addrss for the survey is at http://www.ThinkEnergyGroup.com.
Has anyone else seen it?

According to the survey results I'm above the average, but not at the max.

This is only part of the picture. All it mentions is salary. Where do the other benefits enter the equation?

It looks to me like the people who want to view the survey are the ones who are putting numbers in them. How accurate can we assume this survey to be. Also, we have to list some contact information (e-mail I think). Why don't we just fill in some blanks annonymously, let their program average the numbers and then have it pop up without requiring us to put in personnal contact information. Could someone be collecting this for some other reason? Maybe one of you computer sleuths could track this down?

It just smells a little, folks, and I think we've seen something like this before.

Thinkenergy has posted jobs on Nukeworker before. Since the original post on the thread was from a member, not the company, I don't suspect any devious behavior on their part.

From my own dealings with ThinkEnergy, they seem to be a pretty good company, but I don't use them because they have very few nuclear-related jobs. They might use the e-mail address as a point of contact for hot jobs they are trying to fill, but I have had worse e-mails than that! ;D

Thanks for the little bit of background on this company, Roll Tide. I had never heard of them before so was not aware that they had posted here before.

Please say hi to Bill McClure and Joe Ed for me. I worked U2 refuel floor with Bill about a year ago. I was the guy he said wouldn't stay still! It's not that I'm hyper or anything like that. I just didn't want anything settling out on me!!! ;D
