entry-level hp looking for a job
« on: May 12, 2009, 08:02 »
Hello everyone.  I have a bachelor's degree in health physics and have been trying to get my foot in the door at a nuclear power plant.  I have searched all over the internet and can't seem to find any jobs for entry-level hp's.  I was hoping to get some advice on where or how to get my foot in the door.  I live in the south so I was hoping someone might be able to tell me who to contact at Progress Energy, Duke Energy, Savannah River Site to try and get a job.

keep an eye on Nuke worker boards but also watch the  utilities websites.  For example.  Southern Company just had 3 jobs on their web page for HP techs. Not sure if these are still open or not. Other places to look..Health physics society (need to be a member) has a help wanted page.
