       Linda McDonald~

Please forward this note to others, and contact her. Please donate if you are able. I've worked with Linda several times before, and she is one of the nicest people I've worked with in the nuclear industry.
       Subject: Linda McDonald~

Linda McDonald, a long-time HP tech (TMI, ANO, Farley, Hatch, Crystal River, St. Lucie, Turkey Point, and many other plants...) was seriously injured in a horseback riding accident in June 2008.  She broke her neck and received emergency surgery where several of the vertebras were fused.  Due to the excellent and immediate attention she received at Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville Florida and Linda’s upbeat attitude she is expected to make great progress.  This will be a very long process from a year to 18 months and while Linda will never make it back to 100% she is anticipated to walk again and be able to use her arms.   Linda has been making great progress.  She is currently in the Shands Rehab Hospital and anticipates going home on July 24th.  She will continue her rehabilitative care at home.
Donations may be sent to her High Springs, Fl. home address.                                                                                                 Linda’s address/phone numbers are as follows:

Linda McDonald, Shands Rehab Hospital, 4101 NW 89th Blvd.           Gainesville, Fla.  32606  Room 1808  352) 265-5491

I got an email from Linda today.  She is doing better and making good progress with her PT/OT .  If you get a chance give her a call or send an email,  I'm sure she would appreciate it

I spoke with Linda Friday as I was returning to Farley. Her spirits are good and she is still continuing with therapy. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers!
