Simian Menace:
Hello,

With all the SRR job postings I have been seeing over the last 3 months or so, when are they actually going to start hiring?

I would love to get on that job and I have been waiting for 2 months to hear something from the headhunters, but all is silent.

I am a Designer with Nuke experience looking for my next contract.

Thanks

The site is on stand down due to a number of accidents.
1. 3 workers with acid burns.
2. 2 workers with flash burns (they put a metal torpedo level on a live racked out breaker).
3. Numerous other injuries.
4. 4 workers contaminated from a leaking drum (UTM TRU, not wearing full PCs, only gloves and a faceshield).
5. Audit problems (i.e. WHERE DID THE MONEY GO? :o). We are renting double-wide office trailers (14-10X10 rooms) for $7K/mo. for two years (at least 100 of them).

We can barely empty a trash can and are eagerly awaiting for an approved procedure to use the bathroom.

Shaw engineering is hiring for MOX. If not Shaw, try Areva.

Good luck,

Hey,

Thanks for the info.

I have been pulling my hair out because I had a headhunter call me and say I would be a great fit for several jobs out there... they submitted me and then all I hear is stalling. My resume has been in the mix since mid September and I have been wondering what is going on.

So, any idea when they will begin filling those offices with all of the jobs they keep posting and re-posting?

Simian Menace:
No affiliation, it is just a coincidence that I happened to post about it.  I am just anxious to get on the road again.  Things are slow all over.

and all of them refer to "SRR Engineering Teams".  A great number of companies have posted these same jobs.  I would love to work on this project and have been trying to get hired since the middle of September, when all of the postings began.

I am a Civil/Structural Designer with almost 17 years experience and for the last 2 and half years I have been doing some Electrical and Mechanical Design.  I also picked up some Project Management, Construction Management and Estimating in the middle east, and I also worked at Cooper Nuclear recently.

Thanks,

Simian

Tarbox,

So who should I contact about design positions at SRR?

What companies could get me in there?

I have had a lot of companies not respond to me after submitting my resume.  It is frustrating, but you don't want to submit a resume with every company because if they get it from 2 companies they will throw yours out.

Thanks for the reply though.

Simian
