Epifanio C. Calderon

Eppie Calderon left this earth far too soon on Sunday, November 29, 2009 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born March 12, 1949, in Carlsbad, NM to Epifanio and Esperanza Calderon he lived in the Carlsbad area until 1994 when he moved to the Tri-City area.
Eppie leaves behind his wife Linda, 4 children Eppie (Lisa) of Hobbs, NM, Jerry of Vancouver, WA, Adrienne (Aleda) of Kent, WA and a stepson Will (Tonya) Rencehausen of Kennewick, WA; grandchildren, Elena and Stephen Calderon, Shane and Chanel Rencehausen, and Jacob Humann, his parents Epifanio Sr. and Esperanza of Loving, NM, and his sisters Erma (Bob) Turner, Elva (Ricky) Fuentes, and Estela (Robert) Osbourn. He was preceded in death by his sister Elvira.
Eppie was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. He was an avid sports fan having coached baseball when his boys were young, playing baseball with a minor league team and later becoming a devoted fan of the Mariners. His other great interest and obsession was golf, ready to play at anyone’s invitation or at any tournament. He loved traveling around the country and tending to his lawn and garden.
He spent the last 11 years as a Radiological Control Technician, first at West Valley, NY, then WIPP in Carlsbad, NM and the last 8 years at Eberline Services- Washington Closure at the Environmental Restoration Disposal Facility at Hanford. He was considered a man of conviction, setting a high standard for himself, his work and his life.
The Rosary will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 3rd at Mueller’s Greenlee Funeral Home on Court Street in Pasco, WA with the Funeral Mass at 11:30 am on Friday, December 4th at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Garfield St in Kennewick, WA.
