I'm in the doghouse for Valentine's day-----seems I bought a box of chocolates for the Missus only to get home to find she had also bought me a box of chocolates, but much, much more expensive.

I plied Mrs. Homey with a home cooked meal of grilled marinated tenderlion, home made pirogi, and corn and onion custard.  I followed it up with a nice merlot and chocolate mousse with raspberry whipped cream.  It's the least I can do to let her know just how I feel about her on Valentine's Day  (and every other day of the year).

I got to go fishin. She sent me off with a sleepy kiss, she got to sleep late, I caught a couple of fish, and was greeted with a smile when I came home that afternoon.

Dude,......that's living.

Which lake?

[I've been on Saranac, Blue, Long, Tupper, George, Saratoga, Round, Champlain, Sacandaga, Memphremagog, Bomoseen, St. Catherine and the Waterbury reservoir (favorites in bold).]

Which fish?

Just a couple of pickerel from a local pond. There are several in the area here in western Mass. The place I usually go is a perch hole, was trying a new spot Sunday...

I'm homesick,.........
