Contractor Access
« on: Mar 15, 2024, 08:48 »
Hello!

I am being asked to visit a nuclear power plant as a contractor but have a felony on my record. The felony is over 30-years old, non-violent, no drugs or weapons but I worry that will deny my access. I believe we will have an escort this visit but would expect that to change down the road once we start work there. I have read other posts but those are mainly around working at the site as an employee vs a contractor. Can someone please let me know if this will result in me being denied entry? Thanks!

The NRC doesn't really care if you are an employee or a contractor, they care about your ability to be trusted around special nuclear material.  Follow the process, and disclose everything.
