What happened to Trip & Cal?

Whatever happened to nuclear cartoon, Trip and Cal? The situations were believable and you could identify those people at any plant. Did the cartoons hit too close to home?

Unfortunately, they eventually just fell off the budget/workload priority list. Would be nice to bring them back someday.
