Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy Partners with World Safety Organization
Academy Now Offers WSO Certification Exams and Continuing Education Units

Richland, Wash. – Dade Moeller (www.moellerinc.com) announces that it has finalized an agreement with the World Safety Organization (WSO) whereby credentialed Organization members can earn continuing education units (CEUs) for Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy courses related to their certification. Additionally, those seeking WSO Safety Specialist certification for the Radiological concentration may take the qualification exam at a Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy location after completion of the Academy’s popular “Radiation Safety Officer” or “Radiation Protection Fundamentals for Policymakers and Managers” course.

“Our new partnership with the esteemed World Safety Organization is a testimony to the quality of our Academy courses, faculty members, and training centers,” says CEO Matt Moeller. “We welcome the Organization’s safety professionals to our Academy and look forward to helping them fulfill their certification and continuing education requirements.”

The Dade Moeller Radiation Safety Academy (www.moellerinc.com/training.php) offers 36 courses through its three training centers in Las Vegas; Gaithersburg, Md. Buyer beware.  WSO is not an accredited certification program.

The courses are probably worth the tuition, but the certification is not as highly regarded as those from BCSP because they are not accredited.

However, the WSO should not be confused with the NASP.  Though neither is accredited, the NASP is a pure "diploma mill", for safety "licenses" and "certifications".  WSO at least, has a legitimate process that involves quite a bit more than just paying for a course.
