Nope. Not a one.

The outage gets done. There are enough people entering the field now. When I got in, Navy and Ocala were the only pipeline. Now there are 3-4 jr colleges putting out techs. Only need a good lead at each major checkpoint, and jrs / 18.1s to do the grunt work. It ain't rocket science baby.

Trouble is a very subjective term.

Trouble is, there my be people entering the field, but not enough sites will except entry level personnel, let alone hire that many juniors to start with. And many of these college grads will go on to other fields (medical)

There will be a shortage of techs this fall, and with the history of this plants policy of extremely early layoffs, they will be hard pressed.

What plant are you referring to?

I'd like to ask a question related to the topic:

Seems there are folks like you out there, experienced, etc, not getting calls for outages. I finally got a call for an outage, and when I arrived, I'm with several others with no RP experience, just a 9 week certificate program. I have RP experience, Navy ELT, but no unescorted clearance. This outage will change that, but...

I can't figure it out, maybe some of the experienced posters can shed some light?

BTW, I'm one of the "Anywhere, anytime, bags are packed types." That may have helped.

Educated guess would be a NY plant.

I don't think there are as many returnees out there as everyone seems to think.  Well, that and stacking all the outages on top of each other makes it hard to staff the outages.
