Nuke options

I am going to basic training march13 2012, after that I am going to navy nuke school. I wanted to know what was the best way to go from being an enlisted nuke to become a nuclear officer. From what I read I should have gone the ROTC route but it's a little late for that. Is there anything I can do in school(besides get good grades) and in the fleet to make my application more desirable? Is nupoc an option?

Remember who you love. Remember what is sacred. Remember what is true.
Remember that you will die, and that this day is a gift. Remember how you wish to live, may the blessing of the Lord be with you
