So when did Broadzilla start caring about Navy? :o

before you were born,....literally,....

as to your notion that BZ is an ass vis a vis other trades, professionals, or veterans, here's your mirror:

Sure I'd be glad to help.  HP's (Health Physics) technicians are simply there for a few things.  Swipe boxes in and out of the zone, change air sample's, play cards, send samples to the lab, dose rates, etc.  They make roughly $30.00 bucks an hour.  I have found that its funny to see companies pay their workers 10-11 dollars an hour and HP's so much.  The very definition "of under worked and over paid".  Don't even get me started on an Alara Engineer! But, that's just my jealousy talking! :-X  They don't have to take the NEUT, just be related to someone, or maybe be lucky enough to have went to the same high school, or goes to the same church.

My company used to say that the qualification were as follows:

Meter Qualified, DOE Core Test ( Then the powers at be had to change the DOE Core into the NRRPT Exam).  The kicker is that you can't take the test unless you have at least 5 years of Health Physics experience.  Just another way in my opinion to give the existing HP's more significance in their current position.

I'm just saying,... [coffee]

Always cared about the Navy and sailors. I have more than a few under my care from this very board.

Also figured since a few here have donated and helped the disabled veteran and family identified in my signature that I should pay it forward since at this time they can't.

The only problem I've ever seen BZ have with Navy, or anyone else, is the same problem many of us have with them..., the ones that come here with this "I'm a Navy nuke, drop everything you're doing and tell me how I get the 6 figure job I'm entitled to."

That is when the claws come out.

If someone comes here, does some searching themselves, asks serious questions, and are willing to listen and learn from reality, then the folks on this board are nothing but nice and willing to help..., BZ included.

Ok, I'm coming out of lurking...Is it a trap?  ;)

Anyway, I plan on getting out in about 2 years...I just got to shore duty and am starting my research phase.  I have found these forums to be an amazing resource as I explore my options.  From what I've seen it doesn't look like I can do much now except do more research and save up some money for the transition.

No need to fear....just after "ArthurRyan" pulled all his posts and cancelled his account, a new user "Broadzilla.Jr" was created and started posting. Interesting times should be just ahead....

Busting, tugging on his beard, and  discussion are all OK. Unless you want to wallow in PolySci with relaxed rules Nukeworker rules still apply.

Deliberately antagonizing someone is in violation of rule # 4

Hey in order to be antagonized doesn't one have to feel antagonized?

Not everyone has gunwales as high as yours in our little pond, just wanted to stop a feeding frenzy before it got out of hand. That and the name calling that triggered me to calm the waters was not aimed at you.
