Fort Calhoun Restart Checklist
« on: Nov 17, 2012, 09:31 »
The NRC released a more detailed version of the Fort Calhoun Restart Checklist earlier this week.  The major points in my opinion are:
Safety Culture
Containment Internal Structure design margin (not pressure boundary integrity)
Containment electrical penetration have potential LOCA level radiation degradation
Flood protection procedures and structures (Yellow finding, 2010)
Reactor Protection System contactor failure (White finding, 2011)
Electrical Distribution 480V breaker fire(Red finding, 2012)

Congratulations to all the workers at Fort Calhoun. Many doubted that you would make it to this point, but you proved them wrong. I wish you the best of luck on your start up operations.
