AECL NRU testing
« on: Nov 21, 2012, 10:31 »
I recently graduated from College with an electrical engineering technician - power diploma and have been invited to write a test/ interview for a Nuclear Operator Trainee position at AECL. Has anyone written this test? I am wondering what the focus and what level the test will be at.

Thanks for your help

For the benifit of others who may search for this in the future. The test was a fairly basic logic / math test with some instrumentation questions. I passed the test and had an interview the same day.

The interview focused on safety, your knowledge of the nuclear program in Canada, AECLs function and role. Overall I felt that the interview went well but in retrospect I think I could have provided a few better answers. I did not the job ;(

I have also applies to OPG's operator program so I will hopefully be writing that test as well.
