Interview for turkey point
« on: May 10, 2013, 05:21 »
I'm scheduled to interview as an I&C apprentice for turkey point (PTN) next week.

Over the last couple of years I have read a magnitude of information from the forum posts here at Nukeworker and I want to thank everyone for the insightful tips and guidance that I have received directly or indirectly from each and everyone here.

I have touched up on my interviewing skills and I plan to emphasize my traits, education, certifications, and work related experience.

Any last words of advice or encouragement?

Do you live in the area?  Do you have family in the area? Do you like the immediate area?

PTN likes to hire people who are local/have local ties, and make it known they love living in South FL.
A few years back their attrition rate was horrendous, so they were always trying to figure out if you'd stay around and make it worth their while to train.
Good Luck.

Do you know if turkey point is still working 8 hours shifts or did they change to 12 hour shifts? Thanks.

I felt I did very well in my behavioral. In comparison to my competition, I feel I bring a lot to the table. I also presented several recommendations from individuals within the plant. Now the wait.
