Great option for a masters degree
« on: Mar 02, 2014, 02:01 »
I'm one semester away from completing my MS in Marine Engineering at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. It's primarily distance learning but you do have to go to the campus for several labs. The course work is right in line with our bread and butter, power plant engineering. There's a few courses that most will have little experience in (computational fluid dynamics was new to me). Tuition is in line with like degrees from other universities. The professors are all tops in their field. If you're looking for an engineering/technical masters this is a program that may appeal to you.
